Computer repairs is the service provided by an MSP or IT support company that entails doing onsite or remote IT support, computer repairs and other related IT services.

 

IT Support

A user determibes that they have a computer related issue and agrees on a computer support company. Typically they would log an email ticket to the help desk but a phone call is usually the quickest. The IT support company takes note of the customer specifics and if the option is available might entertain a remote support offering.

 

Computer Repairs

Computer hardware and software related issues usually heeds the attention of an IT professional. Generally a computer user is not techno savvy and calls on an IT support company to provide either onsite repairs or the client can take the problematic computing device to the IT support and computer repair company.

 

Hardware repairs range from power supply blown or fautly issues, mother board blown or faulty, faulty hard drive, faulty monitor or faulty cpu or memory modules. Other perifpherals that could also play a role is keyboard, mouse, external drives and card readers.

 

In most cases the IT technician will do POST tests, look for signs of beeps or visual codes. The other method is by process of ilimination, swapping out known working components to find the problematic device. Once the problematic device has been pointed out it will be replaced by a working module.

 

Burn in test

A burn in in test is run for a period of 24 hours, stress testing the current and new components ensuring system adn component integrity. Once the test is completed the client will be contacted to arrange pickup or delivery.
